Asset TV: What does the Sustainability funds universe look like?

14 Oct, 2021 | Return|

“Fund managers have been engaging for years, engagement is a central part of making changing at a company. It’s something that fund managers are good at, and most have been doing it for a long time. It’s all about the benchmarks they set themselves, it takes a long to create change with a large petroleum company, for example, it doesn’t happen quickly. You have to set timeframes, set objectives and you have to make those clear, provided you’re doing that, you can still be force for change, you have to help investors understand what part of the journey you’re on.”

In this recent Asset TV Sustainable Live Panel, our Senior Investment Consultant, Jake Moeller, discusses the sustainability funds universe alongside other industry experts, from how it can be defined and tackling greenwashing, to how engagement can be used a force for positive change. Watch the full panel discussion below.

Hosted by Olga Masalkova Hay, Jake is joined by Katie Trowsdale, Head, The Multi-Manager Strategies Team, abrdn, Mark Wade, Head of Thematic Research & Stewardship, Allianz Global Investors and Michael Paul, Head of Fund Research, Brewin Dolphin.
